Mahatma Gandhi University is one of the four affiliated Universities in the state of Kerala in the Indian Union. It came into being on 2nd October 1983, the one-hundred-and fifteenth birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, through an ordinance issued by the Governor of Kerala. It was formally inaugurated by the President of the Republic of India on 26'"October 1983. It has subsequently been granted full recognition by the University Grants Commission of India. It is a member of both the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The University has 23 teaching and research departments/schools and 107 affiliated colleges.

  • Eligibility: Degree with 50% marks.
  • Course offered at: M.G University Campus (Credit Based Semester), S.B College, Chenganacherry(Aided Programme), Rajagiri College, Kalamasserry(Aided Programme) and 21 other Colleges(Self-financing scheme)
  • Admissions: Based on Entrance Test, Group Discussion and interview.

Eligibility :A pass in any Bachelor's degree examination of the Mahatma Gandhi University or an equivalent degree of any other University duly recognized by the Mahatma Gandhi University.

Examination :All examinations under the School of Distance Education will be conducted by the Controller of Examinations, Mahatma Gandhi University.
